#Lumpkinmatters Strategic Partnerships

Faculty from the University of North Georgia nursing department met with Ruth McAffrey, Lumpkin Matters Evaluator, Melissa Line, Community Helping Place Executive Director, and Paula Payne, Clinic Director for Community Helping Place to discuss partnering together in the future to advance mobile medical efforts in Lumpkin County. This is just the beginning of an exciting step for CHP and UNG, as well as the residents of Lumpkin County who lack adequate transportation to receive necessary medical treatment and regular health screenings. Rev. David Bost of St. Paul’s UMC in Dahlonega has invited the volunteer team from CHP’s Free Clinic to host the first mobile-medical clinic at his church on November 5. Keep checking our website for updates about this inaugural mobile medical clinic and our efforts to ensure that everyone in Lumpkin county has access to healthcare! #LumpkinMatters
